For a taste of the old-world quaint victorian era of original Aspen, White House Tavern serves refined bar fare with creative cocktails in a 19th-century miner’s cottage. Matsuhisa creates the best of Japanese cuisine, curated by Chef Nobu. Drawing from his training in Tokyo and travels around the world, Chef Nobu serves up unique and creative plates to dazzle his guests.

Just down the street, Kemo Sabe Aspen offers artisan western apparel and jewelry, including hand-crafted hats, boots, and turquoise to get you in the Colorado spirit. If you’re ready to ski or ride, chances are, you might need some great winter gear to match the Colorado weather. Things to Do

One of the best things to do in Aspen is hit the slopes. Aspen offers the best skiing and riding in the world with four unique ski areas that can cater to any style or skill level. Ajax Mountain, also known as Aspen Mountain, is located closest to Aspen Downtown and offers incredible terrain for moderate to advanced skiers and riders. The Silver Queen Gondola bridges the town and mountain, making easy access to sparse glades, tree runs through the alpine forest, and groomed quad-burners; all with stunning views of Aspen. 

Aside from the adventures on Aspen Snowmass mountains, Aspen Downtown also features its own green space, Wagner Park. Located in the heart of Aspen Downtown, the wide open park is a mainstay for enjoying the sunny Colorado weather. Come mid morning for the daily doggie roundup where locals and visitors alike congregate with their pooches to expend their pets’ physical perseverance. 
After time on the mountain, there are plenty of fabulous activities in Aspen Downtown to enjoy in the evening. The Wheeler Opera House was built in 1889 and provides stage art performances, live music, festivals, and films, all in a historical setting. Belly Up is a world-renowned intimate music venue that offers VIP seating with prominent acts and two full bars.

During the summer, the Aspen Farmer’s Market pops up on Saturdays. Featuring a variety of local fresh produce, meat, and eggs, as well as crafts and art, the market brings a lively vibe to downtown Aspen every week between June and October.
