Snowmass Village is located just northwest of Aspen at the base of Snowmass Mountain. Snowmass Mountain is part of the Aspen Snowmass resort system and offers the best skiing and riding anywhere in the world. Snowmass has the most diverse terrain of the four mountains, including plenty of slopes for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers, and thrill-seeking riders. The mountain is connected with a shuttle to the other three mountains in the Aspen Snowmass system, allowing for easy access under one lift ticket to a variety of terrain. Snowmass also features multiple terrain parks to show off your skills.

The Village has abundant nightlife and great options for apres skiing, as well as high-end shopping and dining. The Village also features plenty of ski-in and ski-out accommodations for easy access to the slopes. Snowmass Village is active and vibrant. The community centers around the amazing adventures on offer at Snowmass Mountain. In the winter, Snowmass Village fully embraces its ski town roots with endless winter activities, community events, and celebrations. Skiing and riding are just the beginning, as there are also plenty of other winter activities, such as ice skating, scenic gondola rides, snow tubing, night runs, and more. When the snow melts, live music, hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities take center stage.

Snowmass Village has amazing dining options and excellent shopping in a casual atmosphere that’s a fantastic diversion from the glitz and glamour of Downtown Aspen. 

For on-mountain eats, Elk Camp Restaurant at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola provides a myriad of options in a refined marketplace setting. When the sun is out, the patio at Elk Camp becomes Snowmass it’s also the best on-mountain party spot in Snowmass, with DJ’s spinning and bartenders slinging all day long. 

Aurum, located in the base village in front of the Village Express lift, is a comfortable and cozy retreat from the winter wonderland outside at Snowmass. Presenting refined seasonal New American cuisine in an elegantly casual atmosphere in the heart of Snowmass Base Village Aurum is a great place to enjoy slope-side dining, an outdoor patio with fire pit features, intimate dining room, and a private dining space which can accommodate up to 12 guests.

The Artisan offers creative cocktails and a seasonal American-style menu in a chic, rustic ambiance. Venga Venga is a top choice for apres enthusiasts with its location at the top of the skittle gondola overlooking Fanny Hill and its sundrenched patio inviting skiers with weary legs and parched tongues to relax and imbibe. The Mexican menu serves tequila tastings, creative cocktails, and spicy classics.
 

Things to Do

Snowmass Village is the crown jewel of Aspen Snowmass Ski Resort with more terrain and variety than almost any ski mountain in Colorado, so of course, the best thing to do in Snowmass Village is to ski. With over 5,500 acres of skiable terrain, there is truly endless adventure awaiting in Snowmass Village. Visitors also have access via shuttle bus to the other mountains of Aspen Snowmass: Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands. 

When the snow thaws, there’s still plenty to do around Snowmass Village. Nearby, the Snowmass Club is set against the backdrop of the Snowmass Mountain Range. With stunning manicured greens, challenging courses, and a luxurious clubhouse, it’s easy to spend the day at the Snowmass Club.

Bike Aspen Snowmass offers bike rentals, courses, events, and access to the best bike trails in the Aspen area. Whether you’re an avid road rider or looking to cruise down natural terrain, there are plentiful choices for adventurers of all skill levels.
For a relaxing afternoon to soak up the Colorado weather, follow the Tom Blake Trail through the Two Creeks area. It’s a moderate trail that gains only 500 ft of elevation but provides spectacular sights and sounds of tranquility.
